  Licensing on the Raspberry Pi
Posted by Chris Tonks on May-15-2015 20:57
Hi,

I have need of ChartDirector for PHP on the Raspberry Pi, and after some digging around I
found a (probably unsupported) version for the Pi's 'armhf' architecture squirrelled away
on your site (chartdir_php_linux_armhf.tar.gz).

It works fine for the most part. However, I can't seem to get it to recognise any licences.
I have two development licences and a redistributable one (the latter will be used in the
end), and none of them work: the yellow banner continues to be displayed at the bottom of
the graphs.

I have the same site working fine on a normal Linux webserver and on my Windows
machine and the licence, when tested on those systems, works as expected. The only
difference is I've swapped out the ChartDirector libraries. Specifically I am using
phpchartdir540.dll.

Are you aware of a problem with licences not being recognised by the 'armhf' PHP version?

Cheers,

- Chris Tonks

Hi Chris,

The ARM edition of ChartDirector is not officially released, and none of the existing license
would work. Since it is a licensing issue, I will forward your request to our licensing
deparment. Please expect an email shortly.

Hi isan,

Due to low demand, we probably will not formally supported ChartDirector on ARM. Currently, the followings are some of the unsupported versions on our web site that are suitable for Raspberry Pi:

C++
http://www.advsofteng.com/chartdir_cpp_linux_armhf.tar.gz

PHP
http://www.advsofteng.com/chartdir_php_linux_armhf.tar.gz

Python
